Let's talk probability.

The probability of drawing a Royal Flush in five-card draw is 1 in 1.54 times 10^4.
Functional proteins are essential building blocks of life and the positioning of amino acids requires extreme precision for it to be functional.
According the scientific model used by Stephen Meyer (prominent advocate of intelligent design), the probability of a functional protein of 150 amino acids forming by natural processes is 1 in 10^164.
I did my own research and found that simple yeasts boast functional proteins that are 466 amino acids long.
Now, imagine the mind-blowing complexity of the cells within a human being and contemplate the precision that would be required for it to be a result of naturalistic evolution. The odds are infinitesimally small. Conceiving this as possible would be akin to saying that one could believe that a person can be dealt a royal flush five times in a row and not suspect them of cheating and this is being quite generous for even those odds are many times greater than the possibility that intelligent life emerged from utilitarian causes alone through the mechanisms thus mentioned. It would be reasonable to assert that the consecutive royal flush odds are astronomical in comparison.
What are the alternatives? Biological predestination has been discredited. How about a transcendent super-intelligent being? That sounds more like it. Remember what they say. If the shoe fits, wear it.

What constitutes reality?

What is it that makes the things in our human experience real? Is it empirical evidence? What about the past? How is it applicable to us and how can we know? The truth (it seems) is that we cannot. We must accept the things we experience and learn what will be useful to us. We observe patterns and judge according to these if we are of the rational ilk.
There exists remnants of the past that comprise the expanses of human knowledge known as history. By what factors, can we come to a reasonable conclusion that historical evidence is trustworthy? More to follow but I will post as is to see what sort of insight results.
On that note, let us consider the Gospel accounts and the Old Testament writings. Is there any method in which we can determine their historical accuracy? I suspect the implications may be of dire importance; however, the moral stipulations of which may cause some to seek a way out. They dread the possibility so they look for apparent inconsistencies.
Do we not consider that if a God designed such a perfect free-will that He would facilitate that process? Yes, stand on whatever ground you like be it Darwinian evolution, paganism, or any world religion but there still remains questions that need to be answered.
The universe is a creation and it demands a Creator. Do you not understand the simple logic in which we can draw this conclusion? I do not mean to insult the intelligence of any but, rather implore you to use what you have been given. We were given brains to arrive at reasonable conclusions. Therefore, let us reason together.
